Time to Unwind!

10 / 18 / 2110 / 18 / 21

Hey everyone!   Angela back with a fun card featuring Brains Digi, one of the new digis released this month.  I love Halloween and was excited to play with this digi.   Aside from Christmas, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays!    I absolutely love creating Halloween cards and I am addicted to scary movies.     Do you like Scary Movies?   I also love handing out candy on Halloween.    Growing up we (my little brother and myself) never really trick or treated…… my grandma was a school cook so we did the school event where you knock on cardboard, but we never had the full experience.   But I love being on the other side!

I printed the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock and cut with my Scan N Cut.

I colored my mummy with Copics – decided on simple coloring on this image.

Skin: E00, E11

Mummy- T1, Colorless Blender

I inked my sentiment with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and did an angle cut to add a bit of flair to my sentiment strip.

I used some Halloween Paper from my stash and a Haunted Hill Die, to add to the scene.

Lastly I used some hot pink enamel dots to add a pop of color.

I hope you enjoyed my card.

I would love to hear your Halloween favorites!

Starry, Starry Card

11 / 16 / 1611 / 16 / 16

tcptuesday327

It’s that time again. Time to stamp out Christmas Cards and give the house a good cleaning before the Holidays are here. So, when I saw the TCP Tuesday Challenge was STARS, I knew I had to get out my stamps and play.

2almatwistendnoel

This card uses the Bunny with Mistletoe from our Bunny Christmas stamp set and the registration, 25 stamp and Noel come from our J*lly H*liday stamp set. To give the card a bit of sparkle I added silver stars cut using our 3 x 3 Stars CutUps.

I know that I’ll be stamping a lot of Christmas cards this year, so I wanted to create one that was simple and fast, and this one is both. And, I really love the decidedly modern look of it.

So get out your stamps and PLAY. And, when you’re finished add your card or project to the Winter Blog Hop. You could win a $50 gift voucher.

Tag You’re It

11 / 3 / 1611 / 2 / 16

Surprise! 3 posts in one week! With the TCP Tuesday Challenge being TAGS, I thought I’d get in on the action.  I created this little holder from our K-Cup Carryall Cutable file, but instead of using k-cups I used it as a holder for some Holiday goodies.

tagfront

For the front, I stamped up one of the penguins from the Penguin Joy stamp set and the Joy from the Winter Style stamp set stamped on the Circus Panels Die.

The Hill and Dale die creates a little scene on the bottom of the tag that I cut with the Holiday Tag Die and a sweet snowflake backs it.

taginside

Here’s the inside of the K-Cup Carryall, I’ve placed more big snowflakes and icicles cut from vellum. Next to the santa I’ve stamped one of our muslin bags with a stamp from our Handmade for You stamp set and filled it with chocolate coal. I may just tuck a gift card in it, because I like giving something more than just a stingy envelope with a gift card and this works great.

Have you played in our TCP Tuesday Challenge? Or our Winter Blog Hop? There’s still time. Just add your project or card to the Inlinkz on our blog to enter.

Take Flight with an Ombre Butterfly Card

4 / 8 / 164 / 20 / 16

Butter

There are only a couple of days left to play in our TCP Tuesday Challenge. This time the Challenge was Dies. Goodness knows, I love a good die. So, I just had to play along.

TCPTuesday311

For my card I pulled out my very favorite dies. Our Lacey Butterfly CutUps and our Big Scallop CutUps Dies. These were a couple of the very first dies that we made, so they have a special place in my heart.

Close-up-but

I cut two butterflies from a white panel and used my Stylus to sponge the color on the butterflies, overlapping for that ombre look. The sentiment is from our Take Flight Stamp Set, and I think it is perfect with these Ombre Butterflies. I took this picture and the window screen cast a terrific shadow on the card.

Of course, I had to do a video. This technique is too easy I had to share.

Now, what have you come up with for the TCP Tuesday Die Challenge? There are only a couple of days left to play.

Diamond Fold Card

4 / 15 / 154 / 15 / 15

TCPTUES288_Color-Challenge

Have you played along with our TCP Tuesday Color Challenge, yet? The colors are so Springlike and pretty. These colors were just calling to me to play, so I did.

DiamondFront

For this challenge I decided to bring out the Bring on the Cake stamp set and the NEW Diamond Fold Card Cutable. The Cutable actually has two types of cards, the full diamond and the half diamond card. For this card I decided to use the full Diamond Fold Card. I pulled out a three different patterned papers and with my cutting machine it was so easy to cut the mats to decorate the card.

AlmaColor

This card will be perfect to hold a check or a bit of cash for a birthday present since it folds in on itself to form a little pocket. It does have a tendency to open, so I’ve created a little tab to hold the card shut. Take a look at how I did it.

I hope you like it.

For The Birds

3 / 26 / 15

Have you played along with our TCP Tuesday Sketch Challenge yet? I do love me a good sketch. And, this one is especially good because it can be tweaked here and there. So, I decided to do another card! GASP! I KNOW. But, I just couldn’t resist.

Side

I decided to do a simple card using our Birds CutUps paper pieced and our Chevron CutUps embossed. This card came together soooo quickly. I even amazed myself. So, I put together a quick video on how to do it. I tweaked the sketch just a wee bit, but I think you can still see the spirit of the sketch in the card.

Have you played this week? You only have until Monday to add your link here. And, don’t forget to enter our Spring Blog Hop using the inlink to the right. You could win a $50 shopping spree. Can you say “whee?”

JOYCE CASALDI— SEPTEMBER SWANKY STAMPER

9 / 2 / 14

It was especially tough judging for Swanky Stamper this month. So, I took and extra day to mull things over.

Joyce Casaldi created not one, not two, but THREE cards for the TCP Tuesday Challenges in August. And, all were as super cute as this one. Love the falling petals from the Nature’s Hello set and Joyce’s big poofy bow. It’s a very lucky someone that will get this pretty card.

How about these other two that she created? DTGD2014ChristineCreations_by_ashjoy

Such bright and happy cards.

Lyn Wallan-Smith created another lovely card that I just have to show you. She paper pieces the car from Travelin’ Man and adds a little sparkle to the wheels.

P8270150

She even stamps the inside of the card. Super.

Tricia Traxler created this stunning card for our Color Challenge. Her blue flowers from the Simple Blooms set are just a wonderful change of pace.

These ladies just inspire me by playing along with our TCP Tuesday Challenge. How about you? Inspire me.

TCPTuesdayBig

The Challenge: Anti-Embellishment.

Limit your embellies to no more than two. You are not allowed to use twine, buttons or gems. Can you do it?

This challenge puts the emphasis on the stamps, inks and papers. And, the embellishment you choose will shine! That is, if you choose to use one at all.

Lori Tecler‘s sweet card, above, featuring Traveling Man, is all about the stamps, paper and coloring. This challenge is not about spending money to create.

KL8Kelli Hull‘s pretty card really makes me think bubbles. With her embossed paper and sweet coloring, it’s a wonderful way to remind someone to take some time for themselves.

Kimberly8

How about Kimberly Gajewski’s Hello Pumpkin card. Her paper piecing and stitching make this a favorite of mine. It’s so homey.

Noelle8

Noelle McAdams pushes the limit a bit with her embellies. But, I really think that the group should be considered one.  I’m loving her paper choice to go with the Under the Stars stamp set.

The Cat Pack really pushed themselves for this challenge? How about you? Are you up for the challenge?

I’m flipping for you

10 / 3 / 1310 / 3 / 13

If you’ve been playing along with us for the past TCP Tuesday Challenges, you know that I’ve been been trying to challenge myself with these challenges and think outside of the box. And, whenever possible, I try to make cards that I can mail and actually use. So, this month’s Anti-Embellishment Challenge was perfect for me.

The challenge, is to restrict the use of embellishments to no more than two. And, if you use them, no twine, no buttons and no gems. ACK! Three of my favorite things. So I had to really put on my thinking cap and I came up with this Flip card using our CutUps Dies and Oh Chute!

P1010009I even decorated the inside. And, my one embellishment, the star brad! I can’t believe how EASY it was to make. Crazy Easy. Don’t believe me? Check out the video!

Now what can you do with this challenge?
