Spring Animals – Happy March Release!

3 / 3 / 223 / 3 / 22

Hello crafty friends! Spring is on the way and I have been in the mood to get ready for that warm weather and the Easter holiday! I dont know about you, but I love that Spring represents growth and new beginnings! Today, I have two cards for you that I made with cutables from the March release. For both, I used Spring Animals and Grassy Patches cutting files.

The first card is bright and fun.

I ink blended the background and used a die that cut three different rectangular shapes. I used my cricut to cut out the SVGs of the little chick and bunny. I also ink blended the interior rectangles and I glued the adorable animals inside the first two rectangles. I used the interior rectangle from the top, stamped a sentiment on it, and glued it into the bottom space. I absolutely adore these lil guys, but especially the bunny with such great big ears! Don’t you think it adds character?

I had to use all of the cute lil spring animals so I made another card using the Spring Animals.

For this card, I used masking paper and die cut an oval I had in my stash. I removed the oval masking paper and left on the reverse. I ink blended using Distress Oxides in Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, Abandoned Coral, Wild Honey, and Squeezed Lemonade. I used my Cricut  to cut the cute chickadee and lamb from the Spring Animals SVG cutting files, as well as the grassy border from the cutable file. Before I glued them onto the card, I put the masking tape of the oval back on the card and removed the outside area and used a stencil and stickles glitter gel in the color Nebula to add some shimmer and shine! I removed the masking tape, let it dry, and glued everything together. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment.

Below are the cutable files I used for both cards.

Spring Animals Digi/SVGS
Grassy Patches Cutable SVGs

I hope you liked my first two cards with the design team. I could not be more excited to design projects using these fantastic products and work with these terriffic kitties!

Kick Some Grass and Smile

6 / 16 / 216 / 16 / 21

Hey everyone!  Angela back with a fun card featuring the digital image Kick Some Grass.

I just love these bunny characters and could not wait to make a card with this fella.    Whereas I normally am all about layers and different patterns, this card, I wanted the image and the scene to be the star of the card, so I went a bit more  simple.   I printed the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock and then cut down.

I cut down piece of black cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.  Next I cut a piece of pink plaid pattern paper I had from my stash (Mintay paper pad in my stash) and cut a strip from the other side to be in the upper part of the card.   I inked both papers with Archival Black Ink from Ranger.   I added a black strip to break up the patterns.

I colored my image with Copics:

Bunny: W1, W3, W5, RV10, R20

Grass: YG63 , BG93

Flowers: RV02, RV10, R20, Y35

I used a cloud stencil, with Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass to create clouds around my bunny.   I didn’t do any fancy masking for this, just was lighthanded with my inking.

I added to a piece of light blue cardstock from my stash and added to the card.   I cut the sentiment down and added to the bottom.     I decided to add some hand drawn stitching to the sentiment and the blue layer.    I also inked the remaining layers to carry on the feel of the card.

Lastly I added some black enamel dots to both bottom corners, to add the finishing touches.    I can’t wait to give this to a friend and write a fun note in it.   Hoping that this scene makes her smile and makes you smile as well.

See you soon!

Angela

Flutter By

4 / 20 / 214 / 23 / 21

Hi everyone!  Angela here, with my first post on this awesome DT.   Today I am sharing a card I made featuring the Flutter By Digital Stamp.    Not only do I think this is the cutest image ever, but I absolutely love the sentiment that I used with the card.   The image comes with 3 sentiments in total- but I knew I had to use this one- because I had just been teasing my husband about still giving me butterflies even after 16 years.

I printed the image on Neenah Classic Crest Cardstock and then cut with a Stitched Circle Die.  I then cut a slightly larger circle with my pattern paper.

I tend to be a Spectrum Noir marker gal, but I decided to break out my Copics for today’s card.

Bunny: N1, N3, N5, N7

Nose: RV52, R32

Net: B00, B02, BG00, BG10, White Gel Pen

I made my card base a standard A2 Card, and then cut my patterned layer at 4″ x 5 1/4″.   I used my distressing tool to rough up the card base as well as my patterned layer.    I then cut a strip in the same cardstock I used for my base, and then cut a strip of pattern paper from the same pattern pack I used for my base layer, and circle.   I then used my distress tool to distress the edges of my circles.

I cut a strip with the sentiment printed on it and then used the same  cardstock from my base and middle strip, to layer my sentiment.   I cut both pieces on an angle and used foam tape to adhere the sentiment strip to the bottom of the card.

A few enamel dots in coordinating colors added the finishing touches.

Don’t forget to check out all the helpful how-to videos on YouTube and don’t miss out on the 30% off sale on all in-stock stamps, stencils, dies, and embellishments in the TCP store.  Get them while you can!

I hope you enjoyed my card, and I cannot wait to continue sharing with you!

Have a fantastic day!

Let your creativity take flight,
Angela
