The February Release is Sending Love!

1 / 31 / 221 / 31 / 22

Popping in today to welcome in the month of February with The Cat’s Pajamas New Release!  We’ve got themes of love, winter, friendship, and postal ephemera.  It’s my kind of vibe!  I have 3 designs to show you today beginning with this cutie called Miss Ewe. He’s got a fabulous flowing scarf and GASP Sheep POCKETS!  So cute!  He’s coloured up with Copics and sewn onto this mini-slimline design.  I love mini-slimline sizes….just the right amount of real estate to create.

I’ve zig zagged between the layers then added the heart die from the new Conversations Hearts Cutable, and a sweet snowflake so it doesn’t just have to be for Valentine’s day.

Next up is this adorable helicopter bunny from the Sending You Digi.  He’s coloured up with Copics to match this great flight themed paper I found in my stash.  He’d dropping by to bring LOVE with cute little die cut hearts, and I’ve popped him up on a layer of the new Square Stamps Cutable file.

Isn’t the paper great?

And last, but not least, this postage themed design…

It’s also using the Sending You digi set  and it is framed up using the little circular post-mark in the set,   enlarged enough to become the frame.  I trimmed out the inside of the circle frame and popped it up on the bunny image.  Some pretty brocade paper ties the pink and red together.

You can see I’ve added some extra envelopes onto the main image and as fillers in the spaces of the text frame.  The finished card is just less than 5 x 5″.

Here’s a peek below and the New Release goodies I used.

The August Release is HERE! AND we’re hopping

8 / 27 / 188 / 27 / 18

Woo HOO! Release Day is FINALLY here! We’ve been so busy getting the August Release together and it’s great to say it’s here. I hope that you fell in love with these stamps and dies and the cards that The Cat Pack have stamped up for you, because I know I have.

If you went through the HOP and came from Wendy’s Blog, you’ve reached the end of the hop. If you haven’t, then head over to the first person hopping, Christine Okken. Believe me when I say it will be worth it.

Ever since this release was conceived, it’s been in my head to do a cake bursting out of a starry background surrounded by balloons. So, here is my take on it. I went a little shabby chic on this card using paper by Authentique.  I used the NEW Wish Tag Duo to cut through the patterned paper, and added the insert to cut the card base for the stars.

The NEW Birthday Cake CutUps made making this two tiered cake with candles a breeze. The base and icing were cut with silver mirrored paper, and the cake used more Authentique paper.  The sentiment is from the NEW It’s All About The Cake and embossed with silver pearl embossing powder on our Ribbon Banner CutUps.

Cutting that many balloons was easy using the NEW Balloon Frame Die. It has several different size and shaped balloons. After I inked the edges of the balloons and added them to the frame, I stamped the little bows from the NEW It’s All About The Cake Stamp Set and drew in their strings.

The little “curtain” at the bottom of the card was cut with the Queen of Hearts CutUps, still one of my favorite go to dies.

I have to say that this card came together faster than I thought. I can’t wait to try it with different types of paper.

TIP: When mixing lots of patterns use a paper pad that has several different patterns. Companies create these patterns to go with each other, so you generally can’t go wrong.

I hope you liked the hop. Check the list below in case you missed someone.

It’s Release Day

4 / 24 / 174 / 25 / 17

It’s Release Day! It’s Release Day! I hope you’ve been looking forward to this day as much as I have.  Today we are releasing 2 NEW Stamp Sets and 2 NEW CutUps Dies.

We are shaking things up a bit this year, but one thing that hasn’t changed is our Release Day Blog Hop. So, if you got here from Julie Elak‘s Blog, you are at the end of the hop. If not, start at the beginning at ‘s Blog.

I don’t get a lot of time to craft, but when I saw these bunnies from the Bunnies in Flight Stamp Set, I knew I had to stamp.

Paper piecing the balloons, I added a bit of dimension by coloring a shadow on them.

I used washi tape around the edges and the NEW Clouds & Balloons CutUps Die. The Clouds are open ended so you can put them anywhere on the page.  And, I used the stitched part of the die to create even more texture. To make the card even more whimsical I put a window frame behind it all.

Sneaky Peek #5— This Could Be Vodka

10 / 15 / 1610 / 15 / 16

oct2016_05

It’s Day #5 of Sneaky Peek Week. Are you excited yet? Only Three days left before our NEW Release becomes available on October 18.

Today, we are sneaky peeking a set brought to you by the artist who draws our Long-eared Bunny. This time around, she’s gotten into the coffee and tea craze, too.

This set is called “This Could Be Vodka” and it pairs perfectly with our NEW Cups CutUps Duos Die. And, if you want a little sass, this set is for you.

Now, let’s take a look what The Cat Pack and our Special Guest Designer did with this set.

tcp-saturday

First, our Special Guest Designer, Jodi Collins creates a FABULOUS card using some of the small design elements in this set. You can stamp and color up a storm with this set.

maybe-vodka_smNeed a quick but fun card? This card by Deborah Anton uses the bunny in a tea cup for her card. She uses the NEW Scalloped Duos Die to place it in. Don’t you just love the extra stitching detail that the cutout has? And, what could be quicker to decorate the cup than a die cut?

tcp-vodka

Julie Elak‘s card is just too pretty. She creates the patterned paper with some of the little stamps in the set and  die cutting the cup, gives her more time to color.

tcp-let%27s-venti-co-1016

How about this sweet card by Christine Okken? She uses another of the NEW Cups Duo Dies to cut the cut and the insert for different look.

tcpvodka

Brenda Nakandakari creates a retro slider card using the NEW Roller CutUps. Isn’t the cup just darling with the flower insert. It’s easy to get different looks with our NEW Duos CutUps. Check out the video.

Sneaky Peek #3— Winter Style

10 / 12 / 16

oct2016_03

It’s Day #3 of Sneaky Peek Week and that means that there are only FIVE day left before our NEW Release becomes available on October 18.

We love our funny and cute cards, but sometimes we want to send out pretty cards, especially for the Holidays. With that in mind, we put together “Winter Style”. I think you will agree that this stamp set is stylish and elegant. “Winter Style” is a big set, jam-packed with stamps and is versatile enough to use all year round just by changing out the sentiments.

nancy-10-13-2016

Nancy Thomas puts together a throughly modern Holiday card using “Winter Style”. With a simple watercolor background and embossed florals and snowflakes all that is needed to finish off the card is a sentiment and a modern snowflake.

peace_sm

Deborah Anton turns the organic florals in the set on its head to hang these pretty ornaments from. She’s varied the ink on the florals for even more interest.

dsc_0631

Wendy McGaffey‘s STUNNING card is elegant to the extreme. Her non-traditional color combination of silver, white, red and black is a beauty.

tcp-snow-village-2-co-1016

“Dreamy” is the word that comes to mind when I look at Christine Okken‘s card. She uses the NEW Hill & Dale CutUps Dies to create a Winter Wonderland and stamps the stars on vellum for even more dimension. Finally, Christine adds the NEW Joy CutUps Die. This die is FREE with any order over $65.

Sneaky Peek #2 — Santa Is Coming

10 / 12 / 16

oct2016_02

It’s Day #2 of Sneaky Peek Week and I hope you are excited as we are about our NEW Release coming on Oct 18.

Today, we are sneaky peeking a set featuring our favorite long-eared bunny called “Santa is Coming”. I hear that it has already snowed in some parts of Canada, so this set is right on target.

nancy-10-12-2016

Nancy Thomas kicks off the peeks with her DARLING card featuring the Lightbulb Bunny and another of our NEW dies, the Scalloped Duos Die. We’ve designed our NEW Duos Dies so that you can use them in lots of different ways. Here, Nancy cuts a frame that is the perfect backdrop for our little bunny.

jinglebells

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card by Jessica Rone. She colors up the long eared bunny in such a great way. I think a spotted bunny is so much fun. Finishing off her card is another of our NEW CutUps, Hill & Dale. It’s actually 2 dies that you can layer on top of each other to create a scene.

tcpsanta

“Santa is Coming” has 3 different bunnies and Brenda Nakandakari‘s card features the Celebrating Bunny in a sweet shaker card.

tcp-been-goodish-co-1016

Christine Okken colors up the sledding bunny so beautifully. Her card uses one of the NEW Hill & Dale dies and the NEW Roller Die. With this die, you can make the image roll or slide. It so great to see this sweet bunny sliding down the card.

tcpsneakoct12

Special Guest Designer Anita Madden uses the Lightbulb Bunny , the NEW Roller Die and one of the NEW Hill & Dale CutUps Dies to create her scene. The Hill & Dale dies are long enough so that you can use it horizontally or vertically. It’s a really versatile set of dies that you will reach for again and again.

Sneaky Peek #1— Big Cups & TCPTuesday Challenge

10 / 11 / 1610 / 12 / 16

oct2016_01

We’ve been taking a wee break over here at The Cat’s Pajamas, getting our mojo back and enjoying the Summer.

Now, it’s time to show you what we’ve been working on all this time, on this first day of Sneaky Peek Week.

tcptuesday325

The best way to kick off any day, is with a cup of coffee. So, this set is called “Big Cups”, because that’s where I like my coffee. And, it’s the perfect way to kick off TCPTuesday, with a beverage challenge.

Coffee is my absolute go-to beverage, and tea is what I reach for next, and this set celebrates both. With our favorite Cat and Pooch AND the Penguins, this set comes complete with the sassiest of sayings. This set and the stamps and dies you see featured this week will be available on October 18.

nancy-10-11-2016

It’s not Friday, yet, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying this cheerful card by Nancy Thomas. She pairs a snoozing Poochie with one of our NEW Dies, our Cups Duos CutUps. This fabulous die set comes with 3 different cups and 3 different inserts giving you even more versatility.

tcp-spinning-cup-co-1016

We know that sometimes you just have to get that last drop of coffee before you start your day,  and so does our little penguin.

tcp-spinning-cup-2-co-1016

This card by Christine Okken is made even more fun with our NEW Roller CutUps. It’s easy to bring a smile to a face when this penguin rolls down the track.

tcp-cups-julie

Julie Elak colors up the rest of the penguin gang for this card. She adds the sentiment and a cup from the NEW Cups Duos CutUps as a finishing touch.

bigcupkitty

Okay, I know you wanted to get a closer look at Sprinkle before her coffee and here she is. Jessica Rone colors her up fabulously from the top of her curlers to the bottom of her bunny slippers.

Sneaky Peek Day #2

3 / 11 / 153 / 12 / 15

Spring_02

It’s Day Two of Sneaky Peek Week and today we are introducing a brand NEW artist to The Cat Pack Family, Tamara Hess. Tamara has been drawing these sweet characters for a while now, and when I saw them, I knew they would be a perfect fit. This little lion is the very first of what I know will be a whole collection of cute animals.

This set and all the rest of the sets, CutUps Dies and Cutables will be available for purchase on March 17.

Nancy Thomas TCP Hear Me Roar 3-11-2015

One of the great things about this lion, besides the fact that he is so darling, is he is perfect for coloring. Nancy Thomas pulls out one of the New CutUps for this card, the Wavy Stitched Border. You can diecut the stitched border or use the other side if you prefer no stitching.

TCP HMR 1

Swanky Stamper, Brenda Nakandakari  colors up a storm with her card. The stamp set comes with the sweet lion, a bunch of flowers, eggs, and a happy bee along with three great sentiments

-8

Wendy McGaffey paper pieces her lion and layers up the Wavy Stitched Border to give dimension. How cute are those eggs tucked in the grass?

008 copy

Wendy Bond rounds out the this peek with her colorful card. It’s amazing how different each of the gals makes this little lion the star of the show.

Want to see more of this set? Then check out Lisa Henke, Christine Okken, Tammy Hershberger, and Noelle McAdams.

Then, hop over to our Forum on SplitcoastStampers and leave a comment. You could win this set. We are giving away something special each day of Sneaky Peek Week.

Blog Hop & TCP Tuesday

11 / 24 / 1411 / 25 / 14

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s TCP Tuesday Challenge Day. And, today it’s even more special because it’s Release Day and the start of something NEW. But, first, the TCP Tuesday Challenge.

TCPTUES280_Color Challenge Graphic-1Today’s challenge is a Color Challenge. Nancy is the Hostess with the Mostess for this challenge and she wants you to use Kraft, Red, and Black in your card or project. If you’ve been hanging with us for the past week, you know that TODAY is Release Day. And, that means a Blog Hop. If you’ve come from Kelly‘s Blog then you are at the very last stop. If you haven’t, click on over to Nancy‘s for the start of the Hop.

ADTStepHere is my card. I used the NEW Triple Side Step Cutable for this card and added the houses from the Home For All Seasons stamp set and the Village CutUps. I wanted the house to look like gingerbread, so I stamped in white pigment ink and used white embossing powder. Then I added some White Enamel Accents to the roof line and anywhere I thought snow would be. For the tree line, I used the Holiday Toppers CutUps.

This card came together really fast, mostly because of the Triple Side Step Cutable. You can see what I mean in this video. Once the main pieces where cut, I just had fun decorating.

So, now I have some good news and some more good news.

First, the good news.

Starting today we will be having a month long Blog Hop. And, you can play along. Just use anything TCP and you’re golden. Then, upload your card or project to the inlinkz button on the right side of this blog. On December 26 we’ll announce the winner of a $50 gift voucher.
