The Little Things

3 / 30 / 223 / 31 / 22

Hey all!! Cristena here, Happy Thursday!! Only 1 more day until the weekend! It is The Little Things isn’t it? Did ya see what I did there? Yep, a little play on the name of the stamp set.

But, it really is the little things that make things big! I am grateful for all the little things that I have had in my life to make my heart full.

I love this little bear! Coloring him and bringing him to life just makes me happy. I added in some yellow gingham paper from the new Hello Spring Digital Paper Pack.

Nothing goes better with this than the ever-so-cute Wonky Sun cutable file.  I adore this cute sun!! I love how the sun came out to shine right when I was taking a close-up of the Wonky Sun Cutable, so I had to leave it haha!!

The last thing I did was I added a few of the dew drops to give it a nice little bit of bling.

COPIC COLORS:

Bear: E21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 42, 43, 41, R01, 02
Flower: E21, 23, 25, 27, 29, Y19, 15, YG21, 23, 25, G24, 28

Until next time,
Inky Hugs,
Cristena

Sweet as Sugar Easter Gift Packages

3 / 25 / 223 / 24 / 22

Nancy here getting ready for Easter after a hiatus due to illness. It feels good to get back in crafty mode.  Working with such sweet images, colors and patterns automatically puts me in a good mood.

The Easter themed packages are destined for a group of shelter women who attend our church and these are the first two out of twelve I hope to complete.  Each contains a handheld acacia wood cross, a few chocolate kisses and a bit of paper Easter grass. Although they  include secular images, inside represents the true meaning of the season of Lent.  And…bunnies are one of God’s cutest creatures!

First up I printed the bunny from the Happy Easter Digi onto thin cardstock changing the color of the image to a soft teal using my Silhouette Studio software. I cut it out with a pierced die, then added a felt bunny tail, a flower cut from an older die and a couple of carrot clay pieces. I also printed the one of the patterns from the Happy Spring Digi Papers and then cut a strip from it. After filling the pillow shaped acrylic package, I tied a ribbon bow around it including a cross charm, then added the strip of paper and image circle.

For the second package, I printed the image from the Sugar, Sugar Digi, cut out with the same pierced circle and colored the image with Copic markers. I used another of the prints from the Happy Spring Digi Papers and tied a different ribbon around it also topped with a cross charm.

Copics: Bunny-E40, E41, E42, R10, R81; Basket-W00, E81, BG01, BG02; Eggs-YG01, YG02, Y00, Y11, R10, R81, BG01, BG02

Although the packaging is similar I want each one to be unique by changing up the images, ribbon and patterned paper. These women deserve to feel special and loved.

Are you getting crafty for Easter?

Follow the Bunny

3 / 22 / 223 / 22 / 22

What’s up, crafty peeps?  Jen here, with my first post for the Cat Pack.  I’m just so thrilled to be here playing with the fun and fabulous products in the March Release!

I’ve combined old and new with this first card, using the Rabbit & Wreath Digi/SVG and the Grassy Patches SVG.  First, I created a green, blue, and brown background using Distress Oxides, a gelli plate, and some background stamps.  I thought that would give my cut outs a little more character than just using colored paper or sponging ink on white cardstock.  The reason I went dark brown for my bunny was so I could use one of my all-time favorite Easter sentiments–a retired TCP sentiment–“Follow the bunny, he has the chocolate.”  But have you seen the “What’s invisible and smells like carrots?” sentiment in the Happy Easter Digi?  HA! I get a kick out of that one.

I had plenty of green background, so I found myself with some extra grassy patches–a perfect setting for this card:

Hmmm…this might be my new favorite Easter sentiment.  This card uses the Sugar, Sugar Digi and the Easter eggs from the Easter Eggs in Basket Cutable SVG. I thought that some foiled eggs would certainly look like small sugar-coated packages.  I arranged all the Easter eggs in Canvas Workspace to cut myself a stencil using my Brother ScanNCut.  Then I applied deco foil transfer gel through the stencil.  After it dried I ran it through my laminator with the Rainbow Shattered Glass deco foil.  I also used my ScanNCut to cut the bunny in the basket.

I have a thing about the leftover foil.  Every time I foil something, the leftover looks so appealing.  That led me straight to this next card:

I applied the leftover foil to a deco foil toner sheet.  When I cut the stencil, I couldn’t bring myself to throw out all the little Easter eggs.  I knew I saved them for a reason.  I colored all the eggs with my Spectrum Noir Markers and popped them up on the foiled background, shifting them all a bit, so that the black would give them a bit of a shadow.  I finished it by popping up the Happy Easter from the Happy Easter Digi.  And just like that, all my Easter cards are done–thanks to these very inspiring products!  I hope you’re inspired too!

A Pot Of Gold

3 / 16 / 223 / 16 / 22

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you!  I’ve certainly found my pot of gold today and you can too.  It’s Brenda here, sharing the darling Pot of Gold in a Box Cutable.  He’s not new, but the sentiment from Simple St. Paddy’s Digi  is new and available to download absolutely free!

Alma has a video here, that’s shows how to create this fun box card.  As you can see below, it folds flat to 5.25” x 6.75″ and even has white space to write on in back.

After the card was put together I added the sentiment to a Framed Up Cutable which was colored and size perfectly thanks to the versatility of the digi die.

I was super excited to see the cute new Happy Spring Digi Papers  and an old favorite from the past, the Rosette Cutable.

Rosette Cutable SVG
Rosette Cutable SVG

I put them together to create a card of support for Ukraine.  This card was created with Silhouette Design Studio (SDS) and I was excited to learn just how easy digital papers are to use.

The background was created by using the drawing tool to make a rectangle and the filling tool to add the Scrolls digital design.  The rosette was added and sized to about 2.5″ and filled with the orange gingham design.  The banner from the Rosette Cutable was added.  It was filled with sunflower digital paper from my stash to symbolize Ukraine. The sentiment was then typed  on the top layer.  A stem was added from Bee Gnomie and Friends Cutable.  The filling tool was used to make the stem a darker green.  Here’s what it looked like all laid out in SDS.  What a paper saver!

After this was printed and cut with the Silhouette. It was assembled as shown above.  The back panel was cut to size.  The rosette stem top was trimmed a bit by hand so it wouldn’t show beneath.  Here’ s another Alma video on making the rosette.

Thanks for looking, hope you give these fun new products a try and Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

3 / 12 / 22

Home-tweet-Home--

I hope you are enjoying our March Release! If you’ve been with us for awhile you’ll know that we are gradually moving some of our most popular products into digitals. What’s so great about this, is 1) Items never go out of stock 2) You get to make these items ANY size you wish (YES! It’s all about you 3) Great Price! ‘Nuff said.

ADJust

One of my personal favorites was the Easy Rosette, so I had to bring it back as an .svg Cutable along with an updated Layered Ribbon Banner.

Make a Rosette with Cutable .svgs

It’s great for making rosettes that are easy to put together and won’t pull apart. If you’ve ever made those strip rosettes, you know how frustrating it can be.

Make Rosettes

Our NEW layered Ribbon Banner makes it easy to embellish the Rosette or anything, really. Check out the video above where we use the Stacked Sentiments Digi. But, you don’t have to use a digi, you can use stamps, too.

And, after you check out the video, check out the rest of our March Release below. We’ve thrown in a couple of Freebies, as well.

Sugar, Suger

3 / 12 / 223 / 12 / 22

Hey all! Happy Thursday! Cristena here and I hope that you are all having a good week! Today I am sharing with you a sweet little bunny chillin in his basket. The name of the set is Sugar Sugar Digital Stamp Set. I had a great time making this card, probably the longest I have done.

I LOVE this bunny just as I do all the rest of them. He is so very cute! I had to try and make grass inside of the basket as well. I was going to try to do crinkle grass for an Easter basket, but for some reason, I was going with the groove and followin the flow… chill just like the bunny haha!

I also love all the sentiments that came with this stamp set. It is really hard to choose one. I decided to wait to see who would be getting this card to put the sentiment over on the right side next to the blue egg. I like to leave myself options for the sentiment. If I decide not to give it to anyone… or I just decide it doesn’t need a sentiment, I can put another egg right there. But at least I am not stuck.

I LOVE the new Grassy Patches Cutable!! The way I color my cuts makes it looks so neat! I love it! I like that there are different sizes and everything. I put the longest ones on the outside and one of the shorter ones on the inside. I did overlap the small one on top of the longer ones to make it all blend together nice.

You can see a bit more of the basket in this photo, along with the one up top of just the bunny. I do get a lot of questions when I do baskets, so I thought I would answer it now for you. When I colored this I actually used the chisel tip of the Copic marker. I just drew straight lines.

The last thing I did was I added a few of the dew drops to give it a nice little bit of bling.

COPIC COLORS:

Bunny: E50, 51, 53, 55, R00, 01, 02
Pink: R81, 83, RV10, 00
Yellow:Y11, 13, 15
Blue: B00, 01, 02
Purple: BV04, 02, 01, 00
Grass: YG21, 23, 25, 97,  G24, 28
Basket: E31, 30, 35, 33

Distress Oxide Ink: Tumbled Glass for Clouds

Until next time friends, happy crafting!

Superhero Digital Stamp

The February Release is Sending Love!

1 / 31 / 221 / 31 / 22

Popping in today to welcome in the month of February with The Cat’s Pajamas New Release!  We’ve got themes of love, winter, friendship, and postal ephemera.  It’s my kind of vibe!  I have 3 designs to show you today beginning with this cutie called Miss Ewe. He’s got a fabulous flowing scarf and GASP Sheep POCKETS!  So cute!  He’s coloured up with Copics and sewn onto this mini-slimline design.  I love mini-slimline sizes….just the right amount of real estate to create.

I’ve zig zagged between the layers then added the heart die from the new Conversations Hearts Cutable, and a sweet snowflake so it doesn’t just have to be for Valentine’s day.

Next up is this adorable helicopter bunny from the Sending You Digi.  He’s coloured up with Copics to match this great flight themed paper I found in my stash.  He’d dropping by to bring LOVE with cute little die cut hearts, and I’ve popped him up on a layer of the new Square Stamps Cutable file.

Isn’t the paper great?

And last, but not least, this postage themed design…

It’s also using the Sending You digi set  and it is framed up using the little circular post-mark in the set,   enlarged enough to become the frame.  I trimmed out the inside of the circle frame and popped it up on the bunny image.  Some pretty brocade paper ties the pink and red together.

You can see I’ve added some extra envelopes onto the main image and as fillers in the spaces of the text frame.  The finished card is just less than 5 x 5″.

Here’s a peek below and the New Release goodies I used.

Ewe Complete Me

1 / 24 / 221 / 24 / 22
Hey all! Cristena here today and I am EXCITED!  Oh my goodness! This is my first Cat’s Pajamas project this year! Today I am using Ewe Complete Me Digital Stamp. I am so excited to be sharing it with you, I love how it turned out. It was just so much fun to make!
Ewe Complete Me
Ewe Complete Me Digi Stamp
These two sheep are so darn cute! I made the one facing forward a boy and the one looking to the other the girl. I thought it was honestly funny because she has one little flower in her hand and to me, the look of “this is it?” on her face haha!!!
I used a LOT of bling on this card.  My daughter and I were laughing for at least a good hour at the mess I had made.

I have had this song going through my head for DAYS!!!! But I had to use the sentiment from the digi stamp set because my husband LOVES this song. Yes, you guessed it this card is for him. I feel that it fits us perfectly.

The Copic colors I used are:

Sheep fur: E50, 51, 53
Hearts: R29, 17, 05
Legs, Hands and Ears: C4, 3, 2, 1

If you would like to see how I colored these two cuties you can find the Copic coloring video on YouTube.

I really hope you enjoyed my post today because I really enjoyed this card and making this post 🙂

Until next time friends!!!
Inky Hugs,
Cristena
