My Head’s In The Clouds Over You!

6 / 24 / 226 / 24 / 22

Hey Y’all!!!  Teresa here on this wonderful Friday.  How fun this little bunny is in his plane scooting along to tell someone how special they are.  ‘Takeoff’ includes this cute image and 5 fun sentiments.  Check out the entire June release.  Over 10 new digital stamps and cutables.  All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).

Oh this fun little plan scooting through the sky.  Our cute little bunny is coming to see someone special.

The ‘Takeoff’ digital stamp set is from The Cat’s Pajamas June Release.  Such a fun June we are having.  All sunshine for our little pilot.

Click on one of the images above to go directly to the digital file.

The bunny and plane are colored with copic markers.  The digistamp is printed on Heavenly White copic paper.

COPIC MARKERS:

• Bunny (E55, E53, E51, E50, R02, R01, R00, YG25, Y28)

• Plane (B99, B97, B95, B93, B91, C4, C3, W10)

The bunny and plane are colored with Copic Markers and cut out with a scalloped die.

You might have to look close with the beautiful blue North Carolina skies behind him.  Bet his smile can be seen for miles.

I cut several pieces of white paper with rectangular scalloped dies.

Glued several pieces of printed paper on top of the white for a little added color.   They were just leftover pieces from another project that fit.  I seem to save everything.  Do you?

I always seem to finish cards off with little circular glue dots.  They are just my favorites.

The sentiment is from the same digital stamp set.  Printed it out on 80 lb paper and cut it out with another die.  Glued it to the top of a few of the dots in two of the corners.

I’ve got bunnies in my backyard.  Wonder if they can fly?

Road Trips and Mustaschio’d Men!

5 / 11 / 225 / 12 / 22
Hello! It’s Christine back today with more of the May Release from The Cat’s Pajamas, and today I’m bringing you a pair of masculine designs that are great for the Summer season from the May Release.
To start off today, I’m bringing an card that is a nod to the start of Summer for me!  Each year when our kids were school-age we’d take off for our Summer Road Trip the day after school was done, usually a 16 h drive to my husband’s home town and visit family there.  We’d leave before the crack of dawn and enjoy celebrated traditions each trip like banana bread for the breakfast to listening to Adventures in Odyssey to keep us all entertained.  Still treasured memories for our family.
So, this TCP set is so nostalgic for me!  I used the new Travelin’ Man digi set, printing it on Copic XPress It paper and colouring with Copics.  Check out all his luggage!

I’ve trimmed the image out, placed it on a retired TCP frame, and then added the “road” with the new SVG Cutting File Summer Borders, and then the sentiment from the new Summer Sayings Digi.  With a cute turn arrow from a retired TCP die set.
Now I Mustache you …..
To enjoy this new Hipster set!  It is SO darn cute!  Combining it with the new Aye, Eye, I set,  I’ve created a fun CAS signboard card for the moustachiod man in your life!  I cut out all the moustaches and popped some up on the main image to give it some fun dimension.  A tiny bit of Copic colouring to add some red pop, and paired it all with the new Black and White Spring digital papers.
Here’s another peek at a bit of the dimension.  It makes for an adorable clean and graphic card!
And here is a look at all the new May Release Items I used today…

Customizing Digital Paper and NEW TCP!

4 / 25 / 224 / 26 / 22

Hi Stampers!  It’s Christine back today with a few more new designs using The Cat’s Pajamas April Release.  As you might already know, Alma has moved into the digital realm with TCP and that means a lot of new and  different opportunities with stamps, accessories, cut file, paper and embellishments.  On this first design I did a little playing around with the new Black & White Spring Digi papers to coordinate it perfectly with this Birthday bear and the new set A Beary Good Year.

I  began by printing out the plaid paper in black and white and coordinating it to my card by sponging onto the cardstock.  It’s transformed from black and white to a ombre multi-colour design that matches perfectly with my Copic coloured bear.

This cutie is fun to work with too!  The set has all sorts of add-ons for all occasions that when used as a digi are really easy to make work.  So I gave him a party hat, added the cake plate in his hand and then heart birthday balloons and printed him out.  It’s nice to be able to manipulate images like this before printing.

Some fun framing and accents with die-cuts, and he’s ready to party!

Next I have a mini-slimline scene that’s perfect for those breezy Spring days.

This fanciful bunny is from the new set Field of Pinwheels.  After printing the image, I added in some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink clouds using a TCP Stencil for the sky and foreground grass, and then paired him with more of the Black & White Digi papers.  The bunting accents are created with the Summer Borders SVG’s and I’ve added some baker’s twine and enamel dots.

To fill in the grass I’ve used some flick strokes with my Copics to colour in more blades.  The sentiment is  stamped with a retired TCP polymer set, as I thought it was a perfect pairing.
Take a peek below and the New Release Items I’ve used today!  Be sure to pop over to the TCP Store to pick yours up!   Thanks for joining me today!

Spring into the Great Outdoors with NEW TCP!

4 / 20 / 224 / 26 / 22

Spring is here!  Hi TCP Fans!  It’s Christine greeting you today with my tulips peeking out of the ground and warmer temperatures in my neck of the woods.  Shaking off Winter always makes me hungry to spend time outdoors enjoying the sunshine and all that’s coming to life.

This month’s New Release goodies at The Cat’s Pajamas are all about those warmer days, and soaking in the fun of Spring.  Today I have two projects to show you.  This first design is a pair of woodland cuties from the new digiset, Into the Woods.  This little skunk and squirrel were sized smaller, and trimmed out to create a little scene on the woodgrain die cut heart and coloured with Copics to match the beautiful woodland themed patterned paper (Melissa Lowry).

Touches of greenery were added behind the make image with the new Button Flowers Digi SVG file using my Silhouette, and then also added the swirly border from the new SVG cutting file Summer Borders, to tie in that pop of red.   The sentiment comes from a retired TCP polymer set because I’m in need of more Birthday cards for my stash.

Next up, we’ve got a floating bear delivering Birthday balloons!

The new Catch My Drift is another adorable image, and so fun to colour up the transluscent balloons he’s being carried away by.  After colouring with Copics, I trimmed him out and placed him on a sponged background of spring clouds using a retired TCP stencil and Tumbled China Distress Oxide ink, in a mini-slimline size.  To accent I added a sliver of our new Black and White Spring Digi Papers, a patterned paper swirly border from the new Summer Borders  , Baker’s Twine, Iridescent sequins and the sentiment stamped on another one of the summer borders, just trimmed smaller to fit the size of the card.

Once I had him placed on the cloudy sky, I added in a little Copic colouring between teh balloons to get the popped up design to match the cloud line from the background.  The mini-slimline size really gives you that feeling of him floating up, up and away!

Here’s a peek at the New Release Items from April that I used today….

3 / 24 / 223 / 24 / 22

Hey Y’all!!!  I’m Teresa from Lollipots ‘N’ Polkadots.  So excited to be here with my first post as part of The Cat Pack.  These birdhouses are part of the March release and so fun.  All the SVG files that you need for your Cricut, Silhouette or any cutting machine are included.  How much more could you ask for?  All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).

I love to create 3d paper projects.  Decided I’d use a hanging frame I learned how to make from our own Cristena Bagne.  Used the ‘Birdhouses Cutable SVG’s‘, ‘Happy Spring Digi Papers‘ and the ‘Home Tweet Home‘ Digi stamp set.

Click on one of the images above to go directly to the stamp set, digi file and cutables.

The beautiful frame is made from kraft card stock and a beautiful piece of lime green ribbon to hang it with.  I printed and cut a piece of the Happy Spring digital paper to use as the background for the frame.  Matched my birdhouses perfectly.

I cut all the birdhouses from the Birdhouses Cutable’s.  They are SVG files you can use with your Cricut or any cutting machine.  You choose the colors.  I chose bright colors, as I normally do.  My children tell me that if you threw hand fulls of different colored neon paint at a white wall you would have me.  Yes I love colors, especially bright ones.  I used hot pink, teal blue, apple green, black and white.  They make a very vibrant color combination.

The tree branch was also cut using my Cricut from an image available in the Cricut Design Store.  Just search on tree branch and you’ll find it.

The sentiment is from the Home Tweet Home digi stamp set.  Printed it out on 80 lb paper and cut it like a banner.  Glued it along the bottom of the frame.

Added enamel dots in the same bright colors on the corners and as decoration on the birdhouses.

Springtime is almost here my friends!  Get your birdhouses ready!

~Teresa

Small Sugarcoated Packages and the March Release!

3 / 15 / 223 / 15 / 22
Greetings friends!  It’s Christine and I’m back with NEW March inspiration from The Cat’s Pajamas!  Part one of my designs this month is located HERE.  Today its all about Easter!  One of the most beautiful times of the year for my faith, and also a beautiful time to celebrate life, growth and hope.  I have two cards to show you today, one more playful and one more elegant.  This card uses the new Sugar, Sugar Digi.
Just today my husband bought a huge bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs.  Oh my heart.  He needs to hide them because I LOVE that candy coated chocolate!  So, this card speaks my language about Easter chocolate.    Our favourite bunny is lounging in the Easter basket after a sugar coma of chocolate coated fun.
Colouring is with Copics, with detail added in with Prismacolor Pencils, like the blades of grass, the texture of the basket and the sky on the tag.  The main image is printed on Copic XPress it Blending and cut with a retired tag die from TCP.  The background is sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.
Other cool things on the design are new from TCP including the Grassy Patches Cutables and the Happy Spring digital patterned paper, it makes for such a fun spring card!
Next up is a lovely Easter card with the new FREE Digital Download called Fancy Happy Easter.  The script and designs in the set are lovely!  I coloured the image with Copics and added in backgrounds and detailing with Prismacolor Pencils.  The mini-slimline design also uses our new Happy Spring Digi Papers,  tiny flowers cut to accent and holeless sequin accents.
The pops of colour add such Spring freshness to the design.
Here is a peek at the NEW items I used from TCP today….go check them out!

Spring is Popping in with NEW March Release

3 / 12 / 223 / 12 / 22
Greetings friends!  It’s Christine popping in with some awesome NEW inspiration from The Cat’s Pajamas for the March Release going on now!  There are some delightful additions to this month’s release including digital patterned paper!  It was a first for me to play with digital paper files, but it was a blast to have the versatility of printing only what you wanted.
I have two designs to show you today beginning with our favourite buddy bear in this set called The Little Things.  I love that he’s holding up a sunflower, which is perfect for nods of support for Ukraine.  He’s coloured with Copic Makers, with accents and shadows added with Prismacolor pencils.
To accent the design I used some TCP dies to frame him up, add some swirly accent, a bit of twine and a cute wood button.  The honeycomb paper is from our new Happy Spring Papers.   I picked up some 60 LB weight white paper and printed the selection and size of patterned paper I wanted.  It was easy-peasy!
This next design was totally inspired by Amy Kolling who did a floral wreath a few years ago with buffalo plaid in the background, I loved it so much that I thought this would be the perfect time to use it as inspiration for this pretty wreath.
I’ve combined the Rabbit and Wreath cutable files (I’ve used the retired metal dies, but the files are the same), I just cut out the wreath and accents several times in different colours so I could combine them.  Then I tucked in some of the Easter Eggs from the Happy Easter set and Easter Eggs in Baskets to fill in the wreath.  The layers give it a nice 3D effect.
A bit of sparkle is added with holeless sequins and the added vellum softens the plaid, but still allows the pattern to show through.
The sentiment is from a retired TCP die, and works perfectly with its delicate font.
Here’s a peek at all of the new goodies I used!   Thanks for joining me today.

Spring Animals – Happy March Release!

3 / 3 / 223 / 3 / 22

Hello crafty friends! Spring is on the way and I have been in the mood to get ready for that warm weather and the Easter holiday! I dont know about you, but I love that Spring represents growth and new beginnings! Today, I have two cards for you that I made with cutables from the March release. For both, I used Spring Animals and Grassy Patches cutting files.

The first card is bright and fun.

I ink blended the background and used a die that cut three different rectangular shapes. I used my cricut to cut out the SVGs of the little chick and bunny. I also ink blended the interior rectangles and I glued the adorable animals inside the first two rectangles. I used the interior rectangle from the top, stamped a sentiment on it, and glued it into the bottom space. I absolutely adore these lil guys, but especially the bunny with such great big ears! Don’t you think it adds character?

I had to use all of the cute lil spring animals so I made another card using the Spring Animals.

For this card, I used masking paper and die cut an oval I had in my stash. I removed the oval masking paper and left on the reverse. I ink blended using Distress Oxides in Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, Abandoned Coral, Wild Honey, and Squeezed Lemonade. I used my Cricut  to cut the cute chickadee and lamb from the Spring Animals SVG cutting files, as well as the grassy border from the cutable file. Before I glued them onto the card, I put the masking tape of the oval back on the card and removed the outside area and used a stencil and stickles glitter gel in the color Nebula to add some shimmer and shine! I removed the masking tape, let it dry, and glued everything together. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment.

Below are the cutable files I used for both cards.

I hope you liked my first two cards with the design team. I could not be more excited to design projects using these fantastic products and work with these terriffic kitties!

Hello Spring

2 / 21 / 222 / 21 / 22

Hi friends!  Itʻs Brenda here today to give you a little taste of spring which may be sorely needed in some areas.  Today I am sharing with you 2 products from the February release,  Small Envie Cutables and Babydoll Alphabet Digi.  The flowers are included in Kick Some Grass digi stamps.

I started by sizing the letters and cutting a A7 card front with a Silhouette.   Next came the envie, which was sized and cut from patterned paper.  Last, the flowers were sized, printed and electronically cut.  Imagine how long that would have taken with dies.

The card front was used to create a traditional shaker card with the sequin mix peeking through the letters.   The envie was folded and placed as shown above with the cute little flowers cascading out.  They were colored with Copic markers (Y4, Y6, R00, R02, V31, V13, B00, B02) and glued along with some sequins.

I also tried resizing the alphabet, making it shorter and wider for another look ( A2) .  I love the many different ways you can customize these digital goodies to create just the look you want.

Thanks so much for taking a look!

The February Release Goes Postal!

2 / 13 / 222 / 14 / 22

Hi TCP friends, and Happy Valentine’s Day!  It’s Christine back for another round of our February Release at The Cat’s Pajamas!  Today I’ve created three projects around the postal theme you’ll find in this release.

I’m kicking it off with these adorable Conversation Hearts set that will really get you in the Valentine spirit.  I looked up some fun details about the history of these sweet chalky candies and they’ve been around in this heart shape since 1902, but much earlier than that in a disc shape.  Can’t you remember sharing them with friends at school?  I sure remember searching those messages for just the right saying!

This sweet design makes the most of the Small Envie Cutable file  to showcase each of the hearts and messages popping out of the little white envelopes.  I’ve accented with a pretty mini-plaid paper to coordinate and added some twine and die cut arrows for accent.

This next design makes use of the same mini envelope, but insead using vellum.

I began by watercolouring the background and splatter with some Daniel Smith Watercolours and some metallic watercolours from Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi.  It adds such nice shimmer.  Next I used a star stencil and embossing paste to add a bit of texture to the design.

I made use of the Small Envie Cutable for the heart, vellum envelope, and the then beautiful “Always” sentiment cut from glitter paper.  It adds just the right touch of sparkle.

Next up….our final postal themed card with an adorable mailbox!

Here in Canada our mailboxes are primarily red, so I had to create one just like it!  I love this adorable Mailbox Cutable.  Those tiny little envelopes are so cute!  I placed the mailbox on a layer of vellum cut with the postage themed file in the set.

The background is created with a new fun and funky alphabet called Babydoll Alphabet  tipped in different directions and in different shades of grey and black.  I think it makes a great background.  I added some pops of red using  the Conversation Hearts from the set.

Makes a sweet note for friends and loved ones!
