May Sneaky Peek #3

Henna Tattoos

It’s Day THREE  of Sneaky Peek Week. Today, we are Sneaky Peeking a really great stamp set by a NEW artist Lyzz Viviano, Henna Tattoos.

When I first saw these designs I was immediately smitten. You see, right before I started The Cat’s Pajamas I lived in Orange County, in California. My favorite mall (cause we do the mall thing in Cali, Oh My Gawd) was called “The Block”. In the center of the mall was a lady that did Henna Tattoos. She didn’t have a stall or anything, but just sat on the benches with a small paper catalog of tattoos that she would henna on you. Those beautiful tattoos would last for several weeks and I really appreciated the artist and her technique. It was a bit of money for her, to help her family, and for me the tattoos a symbol of strength and independence.

I can really appreciate these intricate Henna Tattoos because not only are they exquisite, but they represent strength and independence

Christine Okken

Still with me? This card by Christine Okken is more batik than henna, but it’s no less beautiful. Christine embossed the tattoos and then used watercolors to block in the color. She stamped one of the sentiments on vellum so that it stands out against the strong color without covering it up.

Nancy Thomas

The tattoos would be wonderful individually colored, but if you want a stunning card with less work, try spotlight coloring, like Nancy Thomas does here.

Brenda Nakandakari

This stamp set is also stunning stamped in just one color. Brenda Nakandakari uses the stamps to create an almost filigree look. So rich looking!

Kerry Urbatch

While this set is great for strong colors, it’s also great for softer colors, like this card by Kerry Urbatch. Kerry uses the FREE cutting files for this set to cut the sentiment. The Birdcage Duo is a NEW die that comes with 2 birds and a removable cage. Sprinkled across the card is our NEW Sherbet Holeless Sequins.

I hope these pretties inspired you. But, there’s more.  Check out the rest of the Cat Pack’s blog for more. Then, comment on each of the blogs and you could win a $10 gift voucher. We’ll pick a winner each day this week from the comments on the blogs and post the winners here and on our Facebook page.
