November Release Day Blog Hop

Woo Hoo! The November Release Day is HERE. It’s our last Release of the year and The Cat Pack has pulled out all the stops.  If you got here from Lynn Collins’ Blog, you are at the right place. If not, go back to the beginning, to Kerry Urbatch’s Blog. She has a really great card that I am going to case, asap.

This release we have some really great word dies so I wanted to really show how great they are. My first card uses the NEW Stitched Beautiful CutUps. If you notice the die on the right is black. That’s because it’s a deep cut die. You can cut multiple layers of cardstock and thicker materials.

For the script I glued 2 layers of cardstock together and ran it through the die cut. for a little dimension. I’m still playing with this new type of die to see what it can do. Next time, I’ll try 3 layers.

I stamped the “Hello” from our Simply Stacked Sentiments Stamp Set on black cardstock. I covered the bottom word with washi tape to ink up. Then, removed the tape to stamp with white pigment ink. To make it really stand out I embossed it with detail white embossing powder.

Then, I inked up the NEW Look for the Rainbows Stamp Set and paper pieced the flag and colored with copics. For a bit of shine, I added a silver cord and some rhinestones.

For my second card  I really wanted to showcase the NEW Stitched Big Hugs CutUps. So I cut it out of black and inset it with white words and patterned hearts. The scroll is the Heart Swirl CutUps. To carry on the stitched look, I added hearts cut from the Nested Hearts CutUps.

If you want to take a closer look at The Cat Pack’s goodies take a look at their blogs.
