Welcome to our April Blog Hop! If you came from Beata June’s blog you are in the right place. If not, start at the beginning at Julee Tilman’s blog. I’m so happy that you’ve stuck with us this long. Because of the San Francisco order to shelter in place, we had to postpone our March Release for a week. Hopefully, you are taking advantage of our 10% off Shelter in Place discount and FREE Shipping for orders placed in the United States and Canada and are trying your best to make the most out of this difficult time and doing something creative.
This release was all about birthdays and the people who make them possible. So, for my card, I decided to make a birthday popup card. Here is the inside, using the NEW Messy Birthday Stamp Set, the Long, Tall, Popup, Grass and Stitched Clouds CutUps.
For the front, I’m a firm believer in making popup cards where the outside is plain and the inside a surprise. So, for the outside, I did a simple wash and cut out the drummer bunny and placed him on the front, along with the sentiments stamped in Stampin’ Up white craft ink and embossed with white detail powder.
All the elements have been popped up with foam tape. As a finishing touch, I added some Holeless Sequins for a bit of bling
I colored everything with colored pencil and stamped the images with Versafine Clair in Nocturne on the die cuts I cut out using the FREE Cutting Files for this set.
I wanted to make several layers of popups and make them sturdy. Here’ how I did it.
I’m really happy with this Birthday Card and I know the recipient liked it too.
