All The Mews That’s Fit To Print

TCPTuesday-271

It’s time for another TCP Tuesday Challenge. It’s an easy one for this rotation – “Anything Goes!”

I don’t know about you, but I love challenges where I can do anything. It was my mother’s birthday and I made this card for her. I think it’s perfect for this challenge because she taught me that I really could do anything.

I used an easy watercolor technique using our  Simple Blooms set, water soluble markers and a mister. I love to water color, but I by the time I pull out the paints, paper, water cup towels, etc. I lose interest.

FrontYou know the saying, “Business in the front. Party in the back”? Except this time, the party is in the middle.

Inside3This card opens up to reveal a  Card in the Box Cutable. I just love the way it turned out. So I did a couple of videos showing you how I created this card.

This week is Part One, where I show you the watercolor technique. And, next week, I’ll post Part Two, where we make the inside pop with a Card in the Box Cutable

Now let’s see how The Cat Pack took on this challenge.

Kelli used the What’s Mew set on this colorful card. Don’t you love the wrapped frame?

July 2014

I went to Brenda’s blog and saw that she had posted the Card in a Box using Take Off and I knew THIS was the card that was the winner. Her post was the perfect answer to the Inspiration Challenge.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her use of the “4″ from the Numbers Plate and the floating stars.

There were so many wonderful entries for July that I have to post some of my favorites.

Lyn

LOVE this pretty, pretty card by Lyn Wallan-Smith using Lean on Me.

Debby5

Debby shoots for the stars and hits them with this card using Framed Up, Icing, and Bitty Banners CutUps, not to mention the Aim High stamp set

Christine

Christine Veneruso uses Strange and Wonderful, the Chevron, Petal Posies and the Toppers CutUps for her soft and pretty card.

Brenda

To be honest with you, I chose this card by Brenda as the winner for the Swanky Stamper. I’ve been stamping for close to 15 years and I thought I saw it all. Until, I saw the beautiful flowers that Brenda had fussy cut to dot so beautifully on her netting. I love the pop of color that she added to the Kraft, Cream and Rose Color Challenge. Brenda wins all the Stamps, Dies and Cutables from our next release. And, she did it just by entering our TCP Tuesday. Our last release was over $140 in prizes. You could be next. Just come back tomorrow for the next TCP Tuesday Challenge.

Recently, I’ve discovered a liking for all things Canadian. What’s not to like about Canada?

TCP Summer Memories CO 0614

Okay, they may spell things a little differently, but, they have a beautiful country with lots of time zones. Universal health care. They like their Hockey.

The Puck Stops Here

And, their citizens. Prolly, some of the nicest peeps around. I’ve long since thought that Canadians had a really wicked sense of humor. So, when it was time to look for new Cat Pack member, I wasn’t surprised to learn that my first pick was Canadian. Her name, Christine Okken.

COTCP-Flying

Christine has been a Swanky Stamper so many times that the title should be named after her. She has continually wowed us with her beautiful coloring and attention to detail.

AyeHer blog, Christine Creations has been a stop on my blogroll for years.

COCard

Her wonderful color sense, her terrific design sense. Christine, who has been stamping for over 10 years is a stamper’s stamper.

COLeanShe knows so many different techniques, but is ready and willing to always try a new one.

TCP-Ice-Cream-CO-0614I’m so glad that when I asked if she would join the Cat Pack, she said “yes”. And, so are we, eh?

Blog hop

Happy Release Day! Today The Cat Pack and Swanky Stampers are busting out all over our June Release. If you came from Julie Masse’s Blog, then you are at the end of the hop. If not, then go back to the beginning, to Lisa Henke‘s blog. Believe me when I say that you won’t be sorry. Because not only is it Release Day, but it’s TCP Tuesday. So that’s a double, yummy!

TCPTUES268_Color_ChallengeIt’s a Color Challenge this week and Kelli Hull is the Hostess with the Mostess. She is challenging you to use Kraft, Rose and Vanilla in your card or project.

I was so tempted to use one of our NEW Cutables in the challenge because all proceeds for the next two weeks go to the Masse Adoption Fund, but this card just was calling out to be made. Have you ever had that happen?

Front

I usually do a lot of color on my cards, but this year I am challenging myself to stretch myself creatively. So for this card, I am doing an almost monochromatic card. I stamped the sentiment from the Simple Blooms set on the biggest panel of the Circus Panels CutUps and added a small butterfly from the Butterflies CutUps.

The rest of the card was super simple. I used the Petal Posies to cut the flowers from a white panel. What was left, I embossed. Then added the Petal Posies back to the panel. So very easy.

insideWhen you open the card three colorful Petal Posies pop out. And, the sentiment, which is from Nature’s Hello is stamped in Vintage Sepia and embellished with another one of the butterflies from the Butterflies CutUps.

I hope you had a great time this week and hopping through The Cat Pack and Swanky Stampers blogs. They are so amazingly talented. Thank you so much to Christine Okken, Brenda Nakandari, Christine Veneruso, Linsey Rickett and Kyra Sanders, our Swanky Stampers for playing along with us and making me look good.

I hope that you play along in our TCP Tuesday Challenge. We’d love to see what do.

Here are the Deets.

SneakyPeakPeeks_7

It’s Day #7 of Sneaky Peek Week! And the very last day of our Sneaky Peeks. That means that tomorrow will be the first day that you can officially get all 8 stamp sets, 3 CutUps Dies and 2 Cutables that we Sneaky Peeked in this week past.

The set that we are Sneaky Peeking today is called “Life is like Ice Cream”. (My mother, would probably change that sentence to read “Life IS Ice Cream”, she loves the sweet treat so much. “Life is like Ice Cream” features our favorite long-eared bunny. He just can’t seem to get enough!
TCP-Ice-Cream-CO-0614

Christine Okken serves it up fresh and hot. This card dazzles us with pattern and texture, and some pretty awesome coloring.

tcp-ice cream therapyLisa Henke luscious card features one of the three sentiments in this set, bent to fit around the circular panel. That’s only one of the wonderful things that you can do with ease with clear stamps.

F185105057

Nancy Thomas’ yummy card is so pretty with her color palette and the embossed “Dots” CutUps is a perfect match.

SprinklesI just loved this image so much that I had to stamp this little guy up. I thought it called for a shaker card for the “Sprinkles” on top. It was easy peasy to whip the shaker part up with the Framed Up 2 CutUps.

Want to see more of “Life is like Ice Cream” and get more peeks of the New CutUps and Cutables? Check out Kelli Hull,  Wendy McGaffey  and Swanky Stamper, Brenda Nakandari.

Then, head on over to our In It To Win It Thread at SplitcoastStampers. Just comment in this thread and you could win this stamp set. We are giving away a set a day during Sneaky Peek Week. That’s it for Sneaky Peek Week. A special thanks to Swanky Stampers Christine Okken, Brenda Nakandari, Christine Veneruso, Linsey Rickett and Kyra Sanders for joining us and sharing your creative goodness!

Don’t forget to join us at our Pajama Party where there will be lots more peeks and giveaways.

SneakyPeakPeeks_6

It’s Day #6 of Sneaky Peek Week! I can’t believe how fast the week has flown by!

Today is Father’s Day, so with that in mind, this Sneaky Peek features a set called “Aye, Eye, I.” We had so much fun with the “Mustache Set“, that we decided to expand on it. Of course we had to have more mustaches but this time we added eyes and a monocle and even an eye patch. So. Much. Fun.

Kelli

AND, if that weren’t enough, we created “Under My Hat”. A die set, that can work with the stamp set, or by itself. Kelli Hull uses both in her card. The “Under My Hat” CutUps for the front.

KelliInside

And, the “Aye, Eye, I” stamp set on the inside.

P6142944

This elegant card by Brenda Nakandari is so simple, but so stunning. She uses patterned paper that looks like fabric and a fuzzy piece of real fabric for the hat. Just a bit a sparkle from the buttons and the monocle pulls it all together.

Nancy Thomas Aye Eye I

Nancy Thomas uses both the set together, along with the notebook topper from our “Toppers” CutUp. We know that sometimes it can be hard to create masculine cards, but with this set and die? No problem.

TCP-Aye-Aye-CO0614This set is chock full of sayings that you can mix and match. Or you can put them all together for a great “Subway Art” look like Christine Okken does on this great card.

DSC02860

You can get so many looks from the “Aye, Eye, I” stamp set and the “Under My Hat” CutUps. Susan Liles mixes them with the “Dots” CutUps for the background and lots of patterned paper for a distinctive look. I also liked how Susan added a different color band for the hat. It’s easy with the “Under My Hat” CutUps. The band cuts right out. You can keep it solid or add a pattern.

Want to see more of “Under My Hat” and get more peeks of the New CutUps and Cutables? Check out Lisa Henke, Noelle McAdams, Wendy McGaffey and Jessie Rone, and Swanky Stampers, Kyra Sanders, Linsey Rickett.

Then, head on over to our In It To Win It Thread at SplitcoastStampers. Just comment in this thread and you could win this stamp set. We are giving away a set a day during Sneaky Peek Week.
